What if you could run the NBA’s scoring data in a single app?

Optimizer by ESPN is launching a new tool that will allow users to view the league’s scoring stats, and use the new tool to create their own statistical profiles for individual players and teams.

The company claims that this will “allow users to create a personalized profile of a player, team, or player’s fantasy season, while providing insight into the impact of a given player on fantasy basketball.”

The app is a new version of Optimizer, which is the first in the ESPN suite of analytics tools that has been optimized for the iPhone and iPad.

It will also support the company’s proprietary algorithms.

Optimizer allows users to search for specific players by name, position, and team, and to sort by a number of different stats including net rating, net points, and win shares.

It’s a good option for those who want to dig deeper into how a player stacks up against other players.

ESPN is looking to release a preview of the app later this week.

The app will be available on the Apple App Store and Google Play in the coming days.
